Would my voice be heard
in the uniform outcry?

Led by theatre director WANG Shi-Wei, Taishin Performing Arts Award winner Masses is a collaborative piece with choreographer TIEN Hsiao-Tzu, sound designer LEE Tzu-Mei and light designer Helmi Fita. It responds to the incongruity of the masses with a solo dance that outlines the protestor’s complex inner psyche, unravels the individual’s loss and loneliness among the masses in social movements. The smoke-formed imagery of uncertainty, the light-led excitement, couple with sounds-triggered tension take audience back to their own ‘mind scenes’ in social movements. Open floor performance invites audiences to revisit their personal journey in demonstrations either watching from afar or immersed in close range. Masses premieres on 13th December 2019 at Songyan LAB, Taipei, Taiwan.
